No.....I Did Not Fly Away In A Hot Air Balloon

    First of all, I can't believe we have not posted since the beginning of October! Things have been been a bit crazy around here! We had a lot of things to do with getting ready for the annual Craft Fair, and then a community yard sale.  Dad sold 7 of his paintings!!!! Boy, he sure was happy! Mom sold; walking sticks, crocheted purses, socks, sweaters and some other neat things. She also has been finishing up some afghans that are Christmas pressies. Both her and Dad have been changing things in the house, such as the Lanai. They wanted to be able to use that room more than they did. So........ they got rid of the "porch" furniture that was in there, and put a nice futon and easy chair in it. Also there are two "working tables". One for Dad to do his paintings on, and a craft/sewing table for Mom. Now......just have to put up some nice window coverings! Spare bedroom now has a real bed instead of the futon. Everything is slowly coming together and looks great.
     I have been taste testing some awesome treats that Dad found. All homemade with no extra gunk in them. Mom continues to make me my special sweet potato treats also! And.......I had a spa day with Mom the other day and for the first time ever, gave her a hard time about it! I even gave her the STINK EYE when she was clipping my furs!!!! We had a staring contest, I almost won! But after all that rough going, I have to say, I do look bootifuls!
    We will try our darndest to get back on track here a little more, so hopefully, you won't forget me! In case you have already. here's me again!

What We Have Been doing

Hello to all my special peeps and four leggers!!! We have been sooooo busy this past month or so while we have been on Hiatus! Mom has a friend in MA who is going to have a girl baby any day now. She decided to make a Bunny Lovie toy and a hoodie sweater for the little baby.

In the top right, is a Duck Tape and plastic bag, purse. This was specially made for a good friend at Olive Garden, who chose the tape. The black part, is made from a plastic bag, that holds bags of peperoncini. There is no smell of peperoncinis on this bag!! Mom calls this, Olive Garden recycling! 

In the left side pic, you can see that I am wearing a St Patrick's Day bandanna.Yes, I did get a wee bit of corned beef and potatoes, but no turnip or cabbage!

On the right, the pawrents had a railing put on the back steps! Know why?
Cause they are getting old and decrepit and need something to hold on to!! BAHAHAHAHA!

Now to the most important day! I just celebrated my second Birthday on the 21st! I sure like to get my head way into birthday bags huh? I received this almost indestructible moose toy, that has 5, yes 5 squeakers! I had the very flimsy tail off by the next day! It was just blue hair sticking out of the moose's hiney. So far, so good, for the rest of the toy though. I am have great times with it!

So this is just a very little of what's been going on with the Hood family. There is much more, but not a lot of pics yet. We'll see what we can do to fix that.

Now I am not going to be around all the time, maybe about once a week or so. And this summer, Mom is traveling up north for about three months. So we prolly won't be doing any posting then.

It feels so good to be back in the Blogville Loop!

Today, I Am One Year Old!

I am howling away, because Mom and Dad don't know how to carry a tune to sing me Happy Birthday, YIKES, my ears!
I am all spiffied up in my new party dress and pearl collar! Guess who made the collar for me? Now I am just waiting for all my friends to arrive, then we will party the rooftop off! BOL I am SO HAPPY!

PS: I do not know what is in that big box yet, but I did get a nice rib bone that I think was in there. It sure smells familiar anyway. And.........I got a super nice B-Day card from my bestist feline friend ever. A pic of that with come sometime later.

A One Year Olds' Birthday Party

We are planning my birthday party right now. Just to let you all know some of the foodables we are having, I have included some nice picture of them. First of all, we just have to have CHEETOS! (right Puddles?)
Then, some juicy grilled chicken, but we can't let anyone eat the bones, just a warning.
Then some nice T-Bone steaks! Maybe you can eat these bones.
Top it all off with some delightful cherry ice cream cones!

Oops! I almost forgot!
ICE COLD GUINNESS to make all that good food go down the gullet with ease!

So For Halloween.....

I tried on Billy's old pumpkin costume, but I was not real happy with it as you can see.

So my Mom bought me this little dress at Pet Smart! 75% off, It was only about $2.00, BOL, Boy is she smart, huh?

It is a pretty Halloween dress with a skull on the back. You see, I wanted something with a skull on it like my friend Sadie, who is a motorcycle dog. So I finally got what I wanted. I think she would like this a lot!

Now you can see my new dress real well! I wore it all weekend to get ready for today!

Look- A- Likes

Yeah, so as soon as I saw this Guy walking up to my crate, I was smitten! He has the same color hair as I do, so I thought I would just check him out. He smelled good to me, so I sorta cuddled up to him and nestled into his shoulder.  Don't you think we look a lot alike? But............he told his Woman he needed to go have a beer to think about me. Now of course the Woman had this visit kinda planned out, and she decided to let the Guy go have a beer to mull me over. What ever that means. Anyways, they came back after awhile and the Woman gave my owner a plastic card. I really would have liked to chew a bit on that card, hehe. Then..........they took me for a ride to Pet Smart. I guess they took me there cause I am so Smart! They bought me some food, some toys and some puppy shampoo. All the girls that work there were oohing and ahhing over me, hehe that was fun! Then we went for another ride, to a very nice house. The Man and Woman  said this was my new home! I am having a lot of fun here! The best part is that I am learning a very special trick, Blogging!!! Anyway, I am kinda tired now, but I promise to see you all again soon. But. just in case you were wondering, I am a Snorkie! (Schnauzer and Yorkie mix). I weigh about 5 lbs, and my name is Miss Mindy!

Woman: Some people may think that we sure didn't wait very long after Billy's passing, to get another puppy. True for some maybe, but this was love at first sight! Miss Mindy is very different from Billy, and will never take his place, but oh the void is filling up! The Man and I are sooooooo happy today!
