Were You Brought Up In A Barn

This was suppose to be a dog house for me. But.........I hated it! After all, I wasn't brought up in a barn! It shoulda been a castle! Just sayin!

Mom here; we have a neighbor that builds dollhouses. Ralph asked him one day if he built any dog houses. The man said, he had this one. Take it home and try it for a few days. So we did. Well, as you read above, Miss Mindy hated it, and wouldn't go in it at all. I really didn't believe it was Miss Mindy's style, but I really liked it a lot! I did feel that even though it was built very nicely, it was way to delicate for our pup's strong little teeth! So it was returned. We also decide that Miss Mindy has no need of a dog house!

So, I wasn't to worried yesterday, when Mom found that little knitting hook I chewed up. Know why? Cause I just knew she could fix it! She love that polymer clay stuff and has a bunch of it! She plays with the clay a bit, and put it around the old chewed up handle. Then she bakes it in the toaster oven for awhile.

After it is baked, she cools it off, sticks it upright in some more clay, and paints some shiny glaze on it. Voila! She is done and has a much more comfortable handle than before! She did the same thing to all her crochet hooks at one time. She says, her hands don't get so tired crocheting now with a bigger handle! Well..........here is the truth of the matter! She is just to CHEAP, to go and buy new crochet hooks, that have big handles! The 7th one from the left, tasted pretty good when I got a hold of it a month or so ago. She had to put new clay on it!! BOL. Hey Mom! You forgot to glaze that one!

Another Bad Deed

These are little tools that my Mom uses to knit on a loom. I found the top one, her favorite, next to her chair. Of course I had to check it out, and make sure it was safe for her to use!

The Finished Project

 So here we are peeps! The project is all finished! It is supposed to be a patio, for relaxing in the sun! Dad and I bot love the sun! Mom......not so much. So I guess you can tell who will be spending the most time using it! BHHAAAAA.......Mom just told me what she calls it....A giant emery board for my nails!!!!

Here is a pic to show y'all what Dad has been making for me! Well, he said it was for me anyway! I'm just not sure what it is yet though. But I gotta say, it is pretty nice, ah.......I guess. Dad says it is not quite done yet, so finished photos will follow another time.

Mom's Fave Tree, Again

The Avocado Tree is thriving this winter. It is growing taller all the time, and is now beginning to bush out at the top. As the bottom leaves start to deteriorate a bit, Mom takes them off. She is very proud of her tree. Maybe someday, it will be a nice shade tree for me!

How To Beat Winter Stress

Mom may be mad at me for posting this, so don't tell her huh? Once or twice a week, she opens this, and pours a bit into a glass! She says, it helps her to deal with the winter/work stress she is having. Well........what about me? Ain't ya gonna share some with your fave girl Mom? I have some stress in my life too!
