Best Seat In The House
I am really all worn out from Mom's supposed beauty treatment. So I am just taking it easy here on my dad's lap. I sure deserve this comfort!
PS, you know who is suppose to return to AK next week! Got all my paws crossed, my tail a waggin, and praying like mad! Yes, dogs do pray! I will get to see him when the folks take me to MA for his BIG wedding!

Before And After
Here I am with my long, very whispy hair. Mom always tells me I must be having a bad hair day, cause my hair has never been pretty like most yorkies. I tell her' yeah, look at your own hair! Just cause I am not beauty parlor fresh, I am still good lookin in my own way. Besides, I am a guy, who cares?
Here I am after she got out that dratted chain saw, (dog clipper), and shaved me down to nudity! Good thing she didn't touch my beard and top locks with that noisy dang thing! And it is also a good thing that she has an assortment of shirts for me to wear, to cover up my baldness! This shirt is my Navy, First Mate one that I like to wear for my dad. ( He is retired Navy, a whole nother blog).
She didn't get to my toenails yet. Good thing too, cause I will give her a whole lot more trouble then too! She wraps me in a straight jacket (towel) for that horrible ordeal. She thinks she is actually making me cute with all her torture. Who the heck do I have to impress at my age anyway?

A Day We Remember
Today's post is a two-parter. How can any of us ever forget 8 yrs ago today? I never will! Besides the thousands who lost their lives that day, the families who suffered immensely because of those losses, there came other thoughts that have remained heavy on many of our hearts. My son was in boot camp on 9/11/01. While watching and listening to the news that day, I realized, this was going to affect my son in the near future. He is just now finishing his second tour in the Middle East. When I think of all the loved ones left at home, while our soldiers continue to shed blood, sweat and tears for us, I am so overwhelmed. Heartache for all the families left behind, and an awesome love for those who continue to fight for our country overcomes me every time I hear another soldier has died for his country. But......I am in love with our Great Nation. I am so in awe every time I see a flag flowing with a breeze. I am proud of my son and all his comrades. I am a very grateful American!
