Easter

I had a very enjoyable and quiet Easter! We all spent quite a bit of time outdoors in the sun, taking in all the warmth of a Florida afternoon.  Mom did some of her wood carving, cause that is to messy to do in the house. BOL! Not exactly sure what Dad was doing, but he sure was lifting his left arm quite often, I think he had a drink in his hand. He had done a lot of yard work on Saturday, so he wanted to relax on Sunday I guess. I went in the house about 2:30 and decided to have a few chews of my fave bone. That didn't last long, had to have a nap! After some shut eye on the recliner with Mom, we had a fabulous dinner. Boy, them mashed sweet potatoes sure were awesome!

What We Have Been doing

Hello to all my special peeps and four leggers!!! We have been sooooo busy this past month or so while we have been on Hiatus! Mom has a friend in MA who is going to have a girl baby any day now. She decided to make a Bunny Lovie toy and a hoodie sweater for the little baby.

In the top right, is a Duck Tape and plastic bag, purse. This was specially made for a good friend at Olive Garden, who chose the tape. The black part, is made from a plastic bag, that holds bags of peperoncini. There is no smell of peperoncinis on this bag!! Mom calls this, Olive Garden recycling! 

In the left side pic, you can see that I am wearing a St Patrick's Day bandanna.Yes, I did get a wee bit of corned beef and potatoes, but no turnip or cabbage!

On the right, the pawrents had a railing put on the back steps! Know why?
Cause they are getting old and decrepit and need something to hold on to!! BAHAHAHAHA!

Now to the most important day! I just celebrated my second Birthday on the 21st! I sure like to get my head way into birthday bags huh? I received this almost indestructible moose toy, that has 5, yes 5 squeakers! I had the very flimsy tail off by the next day! It was just blue hair sticking out of the moose's hiney. So far, so good, for the rest of the toy though. I am have great times with it!

So this is just a very little of what's been going on with the Hood family. There is much more, but not a lot of pics yet. We'll see what we can do to fix that.

Now I am not going to be around all the time, maybe about once a week or so. And this summer, Mom is traveling up north for about three months. So we prolly won't be doing any posting then.

It feels so good to be back in the Blogville Loop!

Hiatus

This is the last pic my took of me. She had sure better get off her butt, and take some more I say!

We are going to take a bit of a hiatus from blogging. Mom's got a million new things she is doing in her semi-retired life. One of them is woodcarving! She is really enjoying that a whole lot! Don't have any pics yet though. We may stop in now and then to read Bloggies, as I would miss my friends on here to much. So don't y'll go worrying now, cause eventually we will be back!

Up High

On most days, while driving into work, I will see the Hot air balloons up in the sky. They are never in the same place everyday, as it depends on which way the winds are blowing. So on my six mile drive to work, I could see them most anywhere. You can also see the moon in this photo.

When I suddenly hear a loud whoosh , I know that this is a day when the balloons are near my house.

It is always so fascinating to watch, and I never tire of it.

Look high above you today, and maybe you will witness a lovely sight also!

Wordless Wednesday, Making Soap, Making Soup

OWLS

My Mom is really into Owls lately. So she decided to make this owl purse. It is also fully lined with black material with six pockets inside. The shiny part of the eyes, are actually some kind of shell that has the color added to it.

The closure button is made out of polymer clay. The black is painted on and she is not to happy with that. She may just re-paint the entire thing. I have to say, I am a little disappointed that it is not big enough to hold me!
Did y'all know that Owls are a big rage right now? I didn't.

New Toy

So I went to the Spa last Friday, and my Pawrents got me this new toy! (I always get a surprise for being so good at the Spa).

It is made out of a very durable rubber and if you look closely, you can see that there is something inside of it. It is broken pieces of Pupcorn Snacks!

I played for hours with this toy, and I finally got all the snack pieces out! What a workout I had that day!
