My Hiding Place

Behind this bush, which is crawling up some wires, is my little hiding place! It is actually part of our patio. I often sit out here, enjoying my morning coffee, (in my night clothes), and enjoy the fact that no one can see me there. While in my hiding place, I do a lot of thinking, praying and learning. You say, learning? Yes. I do learn here! I am constantly observing all the little Florida critters that dare to venture on my patio. There can be a science lesson in my hiding place every day! Some lessons are great, some, not so. I believe my favorites, are the little geckos that run around. All different colors too, so much that I have actually given them nationalities! OK, OK, so I may be a bit nuts, but, I have earned the right to be that way! I figure while at home, I can be anyway I wish to be! So if you are ever looking for me, just check behind this bush.

Billy and Mom,
Save us a seat and make a big pot of coffee we'll be down soon to join you. That is indeed a nice slice of heaven!! PS Madi is excited about chasing geckos!! HA!! I can tell you from personal experience Madi would tuck her tail and run. The cardinal on the cover of the most recent issue of Birds and Blooms freaked her out this morning. She jumped on the table (yes Madi jumps on the table) landing near the mag. Something about that cover nearly made her fall of the table. She is a constant source of entertainment.

You are so fortunate to have a little quiet place where you can sit unnoticed in your pajammies! I live on a cul-de-sac, and the time Dear Husband had to haul me up the icy driveway on my backside caveman style was viewed by one and all...tsk,tsk, so humiliating! Anyway, a gecko or two would be pretty interesting! Pour an extra cup for me, too!

You'd think I could walk around anyway I want on the farm...........well, I could if I didn't care about getting caught in my nightshirt.

Ooo, Gloria, I know that plant in your hide-away: it is a Cape Honeysuckle!
(Had 2 in our old yard!)
Such a pretty plant to give your privacy and a space to dream about those rving days ahead!
