Pricklys

I recently went to Lowes with Ralph. While he looked all around for some new plants, I had fun photographing many different flowers and plants. I have already posted some of my pics taken there of flowers. I have always liked Cactus plants and really wanted a couple. But......because I'm real good at killing them, I just decided to take photos. I sure liked the look of these little prickly ones!
Don't touch these, or you will be saying OUCH!

I like to look at them but not touch! Beth fell into a patch of those when she was little! OUCH! She said it wasn't the best day in her life....

I like cactus, too. I once had the neatest cactus called an old man. It looked like it was covered with long white hair. Left it out on the patio one night and we got one of those gully washers. The old man got too much water and rotted. That's my luck with cactus!

Some friends planted a little cactus near their patio and two years later it was a vicious monster ready to eat anyone who came near it.

Really.

They sell cactus plants in Florida?!
With all of the rain, they must be indoor plants so they don't drown!
Having seen these in Arizona they get really gorgeous big flowers compared to the size of the plant! Tricky, prickly business to grow them!
