What Kind Of Shirt?

Mom told me they call this type of shirt, "A WIFE BEATER"! Ah.........first of all, I am not married.......and second.....I would NEVER beat a wife if I did have one!! So where did that name come from anyway? That's just CRAZY! But you sure can admit that I look great in purple!

I swear Billy....for a guy you sure do have a lot of clothes! Oh well, you know what they say "Clothes make the man." Except, now I'm confused because you're not a man, you're a dog. A boy dog.

Hmm, Billy maybe you want to rethink your dress attire. Then again, since you are so self confident and do none of the below, go ahead and strut your stuff.

I had to google wife beater and just see what it said.

Its stereotyping. Generally "rednecks" or lower class people wear these undershirts only. Because they are cheap, and these people can't really 'afford' to wear an overshirt.

Lower class/redneck people are considered to abuse their wives more so than other classes.

Because Marlon Brando wore them in A Street Car Named Desire. His character. Stanley Kowalski, was abusive to both his wife and sister-in-law. It's also a slang street term referring to Italian-Americans.
