Veteran's Day

This past weekend, my grandson Joey, and his buddies in his cub scout pack, did a really cool deed! They placed flags on veteran's graves, at a local cemetery! Now that is something Joeys great grandfather, Allen Sisson used to do every year. Joey never met his great grandfather, but I would sure say he was a "chip off the ol block"! I am so pleased to see our young people learning Patriotism!

Precious picture and so very important that the next generation learn and understand why and how they keep their freedom

Happy Veteran's Day to you,
Madi and Mom

Patriotism has to be taught by example, and sadly many of our young people are being taught just the opposite. Beautiful pictures of these fine young men!!!

PS I have always loved "Sunshine on my Shoulders" by John Denver, too! (I saw your note to Madi and Mom)

I love what Cub Scouts teaches the young boys about patriotism.

Scouting is a wonderful teaching tool. Both our sons were involved in scouting and one earned his Eagle badge. They are both in their 30's now and haven't forgotten any of what they learned. Encourage your grandson to stay with it. It is so worth it.
