Look- A- Likes

Yeah, so as soon as I saw this Guy walking up to my crate, I was smitten! He has the same color hair as I do, so I thought I would just check him out. He smelled good to me, so I sorta cuddled up to him and nestled into his shoulder.  Don't you think we look a lot alike? But............he told his Woman he needed to go have a beer to think about me. Now of course the Woman had this visit kinda planned out, and she decided to let the Guy go have a beer to mull me over. What ever that means. Anyways, they came back after awhile and the Woman gave my owner a plastic card. I really would have liked to chew a bit on that card, hehe. Then..........they took me for a ride to Pet Smart. I guess they took me there cause I am so Smart! They bought me some food, some toys and some puppy shampoo. All the girls that work there were oohing and ahhing over me, hehe that was fun! Then we went for another ride, to a very nice house. The Man and Woman  said this was my new home! I am having a lot of fun here! The best part is that I am learning a very special trick, Blogging!!! Anyway, I am kinda tired now, but I promise to see you all again soon. But. just in case you were wondering, I am a Snorkie! (Schnauzer and Yorkie mix). I weigh about 5 lbs, and my name is Miss Mindy!

Woman: Some people may think that we sure didn't wait very long after Billy's passing, to get another puppy. True for some maybe, but this was love at first sight! Miss Mindy is very different from Billy, and will never take his place, but oh the void is filling up! The Man and I are sooooooo happy today!

Gloria....Miss Mindy, the Snorkie, is absolutely precious and IN MY HUMBLE OPINION ADOPTING HER WAS A TRIBUTE TO BILLY. IT JUST SHOWS WHAT A GOOD COMPANION HE WAS AND HOW MUCH HE WAS LOVED. Tell Miss Mindy Billy paved the way for her. You can tell when something is right and this was the right thing for you and Ralph. Madi and I can hardly wait to see more pictures and read all about her antics!!
Hugs and Congrats to Miss Mindy on finding a furever home,
Madi and Mom

Welcome Miss Mindy, you have the best furever home, filled with love, toys and a blog!

Madi's Mom is quite correct, Billy was special, but it is a good tribute to him that they have room in their hearts for Miss Mindy!

Doing the happy dance for a new puppy!

Miss Mindy is gorgeous! And I think you were brilliant to get her right when she came to you! The ache of not having Billy is not filled by another but Miss Mindy can sure help to distract that (I know from when Edward came to live with us... I only wish he had come sooner and stopped some of our tears over Harry! Three months of crying was hard...still miss Harry but Edward sure makes us smile!)Many many happy years with Miss Mindy to the both of you!
Blessings!
Ann
So looking forward to seeing pictures of her!

I recently lost my long time canine companion Toto after 15 years of happiness. I can relate to your story my husband works out of town and after we had to have Toto put to sleep at home we were going to wait a while to have another dog... the saturday after Toto's passing we adopted Bandit at Petsmart.... my husband wasnt ready but i could not come home to an empty house... every where thre were reminders of Toto... Like someone mentioned the hearthache at the loss never completely heals but the distraction of another soul that needs your care helps you cope... dont feel alone in having gotten another pet soon after a loss in my case it was a testament to the enourmous hole left behind by my best friend and i know he is happy another little guy got a good home.
