HOOD'S HAPPENING'S is about us two "older" (getting there) folk, and what ever we may be doing with life. Most of our time is taken up with our little girl, Miss Mindy. She has become the love of our life! You will see a lot about her here!

The Investigation Is Finished
These are little Aliens, residing at the local Lowes store! Arn't they cute? Maybe I will buy them to keep Billy occupied, when Ralph and I are away from the house. What do you think?
PS, Ralph and I did this post together. Our first impression was the same as some of yours! We sure had a lot of fun putting it all together, and sure got a lot of laughs from yesterdays comments! Thanks all!

Not Silent Sunday-More Baby Dove Pics
Well, they are gone! Late Thursday afternoon, The oldest baby left the nest. The younger baby was all alone in the nest over night, and he/she left Friday! But..........They have been nearby, and I have heard their immature voices. Saturday morning, I still heard them and caught a few glimpses of them. It has been a fun experience!

We are a bit sad for it to be over :(

Update Of Backyard Babies
This first one is not very clear, but at least you can see them.
This pic was taken with a flash. They show up pretty good!
Snuggling with Mom!
Feeding time! All these pics were taken at about 1 1/2 weeks of age. Today, they are, 16 days old. The other night, as I was falling asleep on the Lanai, I believe I heard flapping wings. They very well, may be ready to leave the nest by 3 weeks of age. As the babies get older, they actually get kinda mean and ugly looking. Hopefully, I will be able to capture more shots of them, before they leave.
