Christmas Eve & Day, Get a Pair Of Sissors Dad

According to Billy, we put our tree up way to early this year! He has been smelling around the gift bags everyday, to see if there was something there for him. Just like a little kid! And somehow, he knows his stuff always comes in a gift bag! Don't tell me dogs arn't smart. He checked again, first thing this morning! I happened to be on the phone with the kids from Alaska, (6:30am) and he was getting very impatient. He just knew, there was finally something for him! Listen to the video, you'll hear that dear old dad also wanted Billy to get his presents. I actually had a second video that was really cute, but forgot to turn the record off, so it ended up being over an hour long. Don't think you all would want to watch that!

Anyway, after two gift bags to get into this morning, and testing the treats and toys inside them, Billy was a real happy camper!

Please, Mom Please

All I want is some of your ice cream.............I'm just licking my chops, thinking about it. Lapping it up, and making my tongue so cold.............
But Mom says NO! My little doggie heart is broken.............

Not chocolate anyway. Go see dad, his isn't chocolate. He has cherry vanilla! You can have that! So Billy went over to his Dad and got some of his ice cream. Moral of the story? Don't put on your sad doggie puss, there just may be another offer!

Hand Blown Ornaments

Just look at these beautiful hand blown ornaments, my daughter and her family made recently! They went to Corning Glass Works, and decided to try out their artistic abilities. The round ones were made by Joey and his dad, the teardrops were done by Julia and her mom!
Here's Joey trying to blow all his air into the molten glass.

Now, it's Julia's turn. Their Dad was there to help. Pretty neat huh?

Did You Know Santa Rides This?

You betcha Santa rides a horse! Maybe he visited Marilla Primary, recently on his horse, because there was no snow on the ground. This is Joey and Julia, my Grandchildren, from East Aurora NY. I wouldn't be surprized if they enjoyed Santa more on a horse, then in a sleigh!

Even More Ice Cold Buddies

Our light up Frosty,
On top of kitchen cabinets,
And above bar cabinets, I really don't know how many snowmen I own, but if I still had them all, I would not have room for them in this house!

So Which Way Is Out

I was wrapping gifts the other day at my dining room table. Billy was trying to get close enough to see what I was doing. He started whining, because he couldn't get to me. You see, this pointsettia plant was in the way. Now mind you, all he had to do, was turn around and go back the way he came. But no...........I just let him be, and he finally found an opening beside the plant, and got to see what I was up to. He really loves Christmas! He knows that he will have some sort of special treat left under the tree. He has already been sniffing around the tree...........looking and hoping. But dogs, like kids, don't understand time. But they sure have great memories!

Rum Buddy Party

Remember these two Ice Cold Buddies? I just happened to get up during the night, cause I heard a lot of noise going on, out on the lanai.

Here is what I found! These guys were making all kinds of racket and just drinking away! See that rum bottle? Well.........it is empty! Wow! I wonder what Ralph will think when he finds out all his rum is gone? They sure had better get to the Packy, and replace it soon! (At least they used the snowman glasses.)
Not only that, but one of their friends was in the living room, dancing away to Christmas music! He is saying, "Oh No, we got caught"! I'll tell you, something is always waking me up here! First it could be sirens, or the dog, thunder, or it might be one of my kids, er BOYS, calling me at whatever hour. I NEVER suspected my "Ice Cold Buddies" would become a part of my loss of sleep!

Don't worry, I have warned them all, that if they don't behave, they will have to stay in the storage boxes next year!

Snowmen AKA SnowBill 1

While I was in Fairbanks AK, I ran across a person who did a lot of winter pictures! So......since my mom love snowmen so much, I had a bunch of pics done up with me as one, or near one. I had a lot of fun doing this, as I knew it would make my mom very happy! But...........I had to take my nice warm parka off to many times. So of course, I froze a bit. It is a wonder I have any ears left to hear mom whisper sweet nothings in them!

Happy, Happy Birthday Baby

Today, is my baby's 24th birthday! This is Greg, in his stocking, for his first Christmas. He has always had a true mind of his own. When he was only six weeks old, he was quite fussy for a few evenings in a row. It didn't take long for me to realize, the poor baby didn't want anything but his bed! Boy, when he wanted something, he sure let us know real fast! He was the funniest of my four children. If a day went by that he didn't make us laugh, he was probably ill. I have always been thankful for his humor. One of the best things about Greg was, you never knew what he was going to say or do next. It was not an easy task trying to stay one step ahead of him, his entire childhood.
Then.........many years later, Greg had his own son! Ayden is in many ways, just like his dad. I had always warned Greg that payback would be a bummer! I LOVE this photo of him and Ayden

This photo was taken recently, when I went to Massachusetts. When I look at it, I am still seeing and feeling the love!
So............Happy, Happy Birthday Baby! You are my favorite 2nd son. I am so proud of you! I pray for you everyday, and will continue to do so, for the rest of my life. I ask that everyone who visits my blog today, pray for you. God knows the need! I BELIEVE in miracles, after all, I had you for a son! You are one of MY miracles!

Ice Cold Buddies

I LOVE SNOWMEN! There is something about snowmen, that just makes me smile a really big smile! Then of course, who could not, when looking at their smiling faces! These two have a habit of traveling around my house this time of year. You might find them almost anywhere! I wonder where they will be sitting next time?

GUESS

Can you guess what this is? It's the mistletoe patch below the writing on one of Billy's shirts! Whenever he walks or moves a little bit, It starts blinking! It is quite funny, especially under the bed covers, during the night! He has two different shirts that do this.
And yes Billy, I will kiss you even when you are not under the mistletoe!

House In Alaska

This is Clint and Noelle's house in Fairbanks. They live on the first floor. When Clint gave me the address, I immediately Googled it. WOW! I was truly amazed by that program and what I could see! Of course it is not an updated picture, but one that was taken last year. It is a small apartment, but they, and their two kittens are happy enough with it.

Young Love In Alaska

Here is Noelle and Clint, enjoying a day out in the sunshine recently. Finally, after waiting for over a month, Their household goods got delivered this past Monday! Now, they are trying hard to put everything in it's place. Not an easy task, as their apartment is quite small. Noelle is anxious to put up a Christmas Tree, so I am sure she will find a place for everything soon. They also have two young kittens who are helping them with the job. I can only imagine that!

My Hiding Place

Behind this bush, which is crawling up some wires, is my little hiding place! It is actually part of our patio. I often sit out here, enjoying my morning coffee, (in my night clothes), and enjoy the fact that no one can see me there. While in my hiding place, I do a lot of thinking, praying and learning. You say, learning? Yes. I do learn here! I am constantly observing all the little Florida critters that dare to venture on my patio. There can be a science lesson in my hiding place every day! Some lessons are great, some, not so. I believe my favorites, are the little geckos that run around. All different colors too, so much that I have actually given them nationalities! OK, OK, so I may be a bit nuts, but, I have earned the right to be that way! I figure while at home, I can be anyway I wish to be! So if you are ever looking for me, just check behind this bush.

Why Shouldn't I Sleep Here?

I know, I know, I am on YOUR pillow, and right by YOUR Build A Bear, Julia! But this pillow is so nice and soft and cuddly! Why shouldn't I sleep here? I promise I won't get any of my little doggie odors on either one. Please just leave me to rest in peace! You are such a worry wart Mom. Besides, I decided that me and the Julia bear, match well today. And......... did you forget that I just got back from my world wide travels? So go do YOUR housework, and leave me be. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ..................
