Today, We Are Polish

We love a lot of Polish food, but really only make perogies! (SP?) These are potato and cheese. The entire recipe made enough for six meals. Good thing we have a sizable freezer!

T-Shirt Rug

T-Shirts????? What do you ever mean my dear sweet Mother? This sure doesn't look like a T-Shirt to me!
Ahhh.....but Miss Mindy......this rug is indeed made out of T-Shirts, many of them, 16 to be precise!
You see, my dear little puppy girl, there is a special way to cut up an old T-Shirt, and make yarn out of it. I know it sounds crazy, but it is true! From the "yarn", you then crochet what ever you would like. I thought I would crochet a rug, that you just may want to lie on sometimes. I think I will save it for the new house, (whenever that will be), then you can have a chance to lay on it, and decide weather you like it or not.
OK, what ever you say Mom, but please don't cut up any of my shirts please.

On Mom's Chair

I am teasing Mom! Sometimes, I sit on top of the back of her recliner. I am just telling her to "go ahead, sit down Mom!" It get a little crazy though, when she reclines it! I really have to skedoodle around then, unless I want to fall off! I am quite agile though, so if I do fall, I won't get hurt, sorta like a cat, I land on all fours! BOL

Helping Mom Crochet

I am doing a very important job right now! What? You say sleeping? Uh, no.......I really am supervising the crocheting of this blankie!!! (Actually, this is an old pic, hehe) Here it is all finished!

This blankie is for Mom's fave niece, Melissa! (BOL, her only niece), who is getting married this August! Mom didn't quite get it done in time for the Bridal Shower, but she is going to send it to her niece soon. And, just so you know..........Mom says, Melissa's future hubby, Mike, sure can use it too!

"The" Tree

Well, the Dad finally did it!!! He planted Mom's Avocado tree in the ground! As you can see, it is on the other side of our new patio. He says, it will give a lot of shade someday! Mom says....... hopefully, we will be living up North by the time it is big enough to give good shade! It has had some amazing growth since it has been put out in a more sunny place, and all the lower leaves were removed!

What A Weekend! I'm Tired!

I was very busy this weekend! I was partying over at , Dachsies With Moxie! Man I had the most fun ever, of my life! I got to meet many of my bloggie friends and plenty of other four leggers! Thank goodness my friend, Madi was there with me! She kept me out of lots of troubles. I did, however, do a lot of speeding around the place in those bumper cars! (no speeding ticket for me though!) But you will have to excuse me for the rest of today, cause I have a wee bit of a headache. PARTY TIME!!!

Due to the "Doxies With Moxie" party, I will not be posting for these next few days. Today, I have to get all prettied up, buy a new dress, and get some Guinness and Buffalo Wings to take. I am planning on following Puddle's lead, as far as chandeliers go. I will probably initiate a "Cutest Tush" contest. (Though Madi will most likely win that). And oh yeah. I have to purchase a bikini, unless we all decide to go skinny dipping!!! Also, I plan on getting lots of beauty rest today, so I can look my best at the party! Oops! Moms coming, gotta go!
